So today I decided to write a review of the Janome DC5100. It is one of my favorite sewing machines and I want to share with the world the reasons why I love it so much. I bought this machine some years back after some comprehensive research. It took me some time to decide on this one as I was at first overwhelmed by the large selection of brands and models on the market. One of the best resources out there for sewing machine reviews was also consulted. In the end, I settled on the Janome DC5100 sewing machine for my needs. It had all of the features I needed so I snapped it up. This machine has grown to become my favorite sewing machine and I still feel the same way about it after using it for several years now. This is an unbiased sewing machine review so whatever I say here is the truth. This machine is so sweet and I'm telling you you'll also love it.

Why this sewing machine?

This user-friendly machine is very well-built and designed with all of the right features you'll want on a sewing machine. This is a common theme in all of Janome's machines. Some of the great features I like include the horizontally loaded bobbin winder which comes with a clear cover so you can see the amount of thread left as you sew. I also love the automatic needle threader, presser feet that just snap on, the one-step automatic buttonhole maker and the many other attachments on this sewing machine. To be honest, I think this is one of the best sewing machines on the market. I also love the automatic needle threader, presser feet that just snap on, the one-step automatic buttonhole maker and the many other attachments on this sewing machine. To be honest, I think this is one of the best sewing machines on the market. In addition, I think the Janome DC5100 is a much better machine than most of the other Janome brands I have used in the past. It is also special for the following reasons:

Variable Speed and the Silent Motor

One of the things I love about it is the fact that it is quite a fast machine. It has a top speed of 820 stitches per minute. But not everyone loves to sew at high speed so I love the fact that this sewing machine comes with a variable speed control. You can set the machine to the speed you desire and no matter how much you press the control, the speed will never go above your choice. You can have it sewing a very slow speed, moderate speed or high speed for different kinds of projects. You'll be surprised to know that the Janome DC5100 performs very well at any of the speed settings. I also love that this machine is quiet when sewing. To be honest, I have never had a sewing machine that sews as quietly as the Janome DC5100. I have to watch children and do other chores during the day so I often stay up late to sew my projects. A quiet machine is essential in this scenario so as not to disturb the neighbors and other members of the household. It used to be that my daughter will complain about the noise the old sewing machines made when sewing during this time. But these days, she simply asks, where have you been when I come in late to wish her goodnight. That is because this machine does not make any noise so she has no idea I was out there sewing.

A wide range of stitches and also an onboard memory

I'll now like to talk about a number of stitches this machine has at this stage of this sewing machine review. Apart from how quiet it runs and the variable speed control, the next thing that I love is the number of stitches on this machine. It has a total of 167 built-in stitches. There are different stitch types including quilting, heirloom, home decor, blanket, zig zag, hemming, buttonhole etc. You'll also love the built-in one-step buttonhole maker. It also has the ability to cross stitch. In this Janome DC5100 sewing machine review, I want to talk about the memory. You can program 50 different patterns and store in on the built-in memory. You can program different patterns, store your favorite patterns and also program your favorite stitch lengths and widths so you won't have to reset them each time you sew. One of my absolute favorite things about this machine is the programmable needle up/down. This lets the needle stop in either the up or down position when you stop sewing. When programmed, the machine will remember your choice and automatically stop in that position each time you stop sewing.

The Sewing Machine's Feet

With this sewing machine, you are given a wide selection of presser feet for free. This was one of the features that swayed my decision to buy this machine. I took a look at many other brands and models and none of them included these many presser feet as a standard feature. It is delivered with 10 different presser feet included in the machine. The feet include a quarter-inch seam foot, a zigzag foot, a walking foot, a straight stitch foot, a hemming foot, a buttonhole foot and a zipper foot. There are other presser feet included. The included darning foot is helpful whenever I want to do some free motion quilting by dropping the feed dog. All of these combine to make the Janome DC5100 one of the best sewing machines I have ever reviewed.
